At the beginning of 2024, Mayani approached Polar Cold with a critical need: a reliable cold room solution to support their expanding fresh produce distribution business. We worked closely with Mayani to deploy a custom solution: a 27.6m² walk-in chiller room at their facility, backed by Polar Cold's proprietary IoT management system.They were able to access our solution on a flexible monthly payment plan, making it both affordable and scalable as their business grows.

1. Early Problem Detection with our IoT-enabled System

A few months into the operation of their cold rooms, our IoT system detected rising energy consumption, signalling a potential problem. By analysing the data remotely, we quickly identified that the issue stemmed from a dirty condenser and a broken valve. Our ability to track energy patterns and machine health in real-time allowed us to catch the issue before it escalated, ensuring uninterrupted performance and energy efficiency.

2. Real-time Insights That Drive Rapid Response and Energy Savings

Within 8 hours of detecting the problem, we dispatched a technician who quickly repaired both the condenser and the valve, restoring the system to full efficiency. This rapid response resulted in energy savings of up to 3,460 kWh for Mayani, equivalent to nearly two months' worth of electricity bills!

By implementing energy-efficient technologies, we enabled Mayani to reduce their overall cold room energy usage by 8% compared to a standard cold room. This is a significant day-to-day gain that not only reduces costs but also contributes to a lower environmental footprint.
